DVGVoIP vs TELUS Business Connect: the $25 price has a 3-year string.
TELUS Business Connect lists $25, $30 and $35 per seat "when bundled on a 3-year contract", and $30, $35 and $40 otherwise. DVGVoIP is $22 or $19 per user with no contract, run from Thunder Bay.
Who TELUS Business Connect is built for — and who it isn't
TELUS Business Connect is a national cloud phone service sold through TELUS Business. It is a mature platform with a good app, and if your organisation already runs on TELUS mobility and internet across several provinces it fits neatly.
The plans page shows three seats: Voice Plus ($25/mo bundled on a 3-year contract, $30 otherwise), Enhanced ($30 / $35) and Complete ($35 / $40). All include unlimited Canada & U.S. calling, an auto-attendant and the mobile and desktop app. Business SMS, video meetings and automatic call recording start at Enhanced.
Where the TELUS Business Connect model can work against a Northern Ontario business
The advertised price needs a 3-year term and a bundle
Each TELUS price is footnoted "Per seat when bundled on a 3-year contract". The terms say the promotional pricing requires signing "on a 3-year term for TELUS Business Connect Enhanced or Complete" and bundling with a TELUS internet product. Without both, the price is $5 higher per seat. DVGVoIP's $22 / $19 is the price with no term at all.
The entry seat has no texting or video
On the TELUS feature table Voice Plus has no Business SMS and no video meetings; both start at Enhanced. DVGVoIP includes 3CX video conferencing on every plan.
Support is a national call centre
TELUS lists technical support at 1-844-626-6638, with billing and account support 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday to Friday. There is no local technician or Northwestern Ontario presence on the page. DVGVoIP's team is in Thunder Bay and deploys on-site.

When TELUS Business Connect might still be the right choice
We would rather tell you now than after you switch.
You are a multi-province organisation already on TELUS
If TELUS already carries your mobility and internet across offices in BC, Alberta and Ontario, a single national account and bundle credit can outweigh a lower per-seat price.
You want an integrated AI assistant today
TELUS bundles an AI assistant (500 minutes per user per month) on Enhanced and Complete. DVGVoIP offers 3CX AI agents, but we scope and quote them per use case rather than bundling minutes.
Looking for a TELUS Business Connect alternative in Northern Ontario? Common questions

No. Plans are month-to-month. Annual billing is available as a discount of up to 10 percent if you want it, but it is your choice.

Does DVGVoIP include video meetings?
Yes. 3CX video conferencing is built in on every plan, up to 250 participants on Enterprise. TELUS includes video from its Enhanced seat only.
