Your phone was provisioned automatically by DVGVoIP. If your phone displays "Unregistered" or "No Service", contact us immediately at (807) 700-7111 — do not attempt to reconfigure the phone yourself.
Making a Call
There are three ways to dial on a Yealink phone:
- Lift the handset and dial the number, then press the green Send key (or wait 5 seconds for auto-dial).
- Dial the number first, then lift the handset — the call connects immediately.
- Press the Speakerphone button, dial the number, then press Send.
To dial an internal extension, simply dial the 3-digit extension number (e.g., 101). No prefix needed.
Receiving a Call
- Lift the handset to answer using the receiver
- Press the Answer soft key or the Speakerphone button to answer hands-free
- Press the Reject soft key or the red End Call button to decline
- If you miss a call, a message indicator light will flash — press Messages to check
Transferring a Call
Blind Transfer (direct handoff — caller goes straight to the other person)
- While on an active call, press the Transfer soft key (or the Tran button).
- Dial the extension or number you want to transfer to.
- Press Transfer again or the green Send key.
- Hang up. The caller is now connected to the other person.
Attended Transfer (announce the call first before transferring)
- While on a call, press Hold to put the caller on hold.
- Dial the extension you want to transfer to.
- When they answer, announce the caller.
- Press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
Tip: Blind transfer is faster for routine calls. Use attended transfer when you need to introduce the caller or check that the other person is available.
Checking Voicemail
- Press the Messages button (envelope icon) on your phone.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to new messages.
- Press 1 to listen, 7 to delete, 9 to save (standard voicemail navigation).
If you have unheard voicemails, the message waiting indicator (MWI) light on the top of your phone will flash red.
Tip: You can also check voicemail from the 3CX web client or mobile app — any device will show the same messages. See How to Set Up Voicemail.
Adjusting Volume
Use the Volume rocker keys on the left side of the phone:
- During a call: pressing volume adjusts the handset or speakerphone volume
- While the phone is idle: pressing volume adjusts the ringtone volume
- Volume changes take effect immediately and are saved automatically
Changing the Ringtone
- Press the Menu soft key (bottom left of screen).
- Navigate to Basic → Sound → Ring Tones.
- Use the arrow keys to scroll through available ringtones.
- Press Play to preview, then Set to save your selection.
Using the Directory / Contacts Button
Your Yealink phone has access to the company directory automatically provisioned by DVGVoIP.
- Press the Directory button or the Dir soft key.
- Select Remote Phone Book to access the company directory, or Local Directory for your personal contacts.
- Use the arrow keys to scroll, or press the dial pad to search by name.
- Highlight a contact and press Send or lift the handset to dial.
Note: The company directory is managed centrally by DVGVoIP. If a colleague's name or extension is missing, contact us and we'll update the directory.
