DVGVoIP voicemail delivers messages to your email inbox as audio file attachments, so you never have to dial in to check messages. This guide covers initial setup and daily use.
Recording Your Voicemail Greeting
From Your Desk Phone
- Press the Voicemail button (usually labelled with an envelope icon) or dial *86
- Follow the prompts to record your greeting
- Press # when finished recording
From the 3CX Web Client or Desktop App
- Log in to your 3CX portal
- Click your name/extension in the top right
- Select Voicemail Settings
- Record or upload a greeting file (.wav or .mp3)
Voicemail to Email
By default, DVGVoIP sends voicemail messages to your email address as a .wav audio attachment. The email includes:
- Caller’s number (if available)
- Date and time of the call
- Duration of the message
- Audio file attachment
Check your spam/junk folder if you’re not receiving voicemail emails. Add noreply@dvgvoip.com to your safe senders list.
Accessing Voicemail by Phone
Dial *86 from your desk phone or extension. You’ll be prompted to enter your PIN (set during onboarding — contact DVGVoIP if you need it reset).
From outside the office, you can reach voicemail by:
- Calling your business number
- Pressing * during your greeting
- Entering your PIN
Changing Your Voicemail PIN
- Dial *86 and enter your current PIN
- Press 5 for settings
- Press 1 to change PIN
- Enter and confirm your new 4–6 digit PIN
Setting Up a “Busy” Greeting
You can record separate greetings for when you’re on a call versus when you don’t answer. In the 3CX portal under Voicemail Settings, you’ll see options for:
- No Answer greeting — plays when you don’t pick up within your ring timeout
- Busy greeting — plays when you’re already on a call (if your extension is set to single-call mode)
